Our mission is to provide quality education and training for the water and wastewater professionals in the Southern Nevada region.
We envision an organization that provides high-quality, low cost training to the water and wastewater community, while developing a network of agencies and individuals with common interests and goals.
WWET offers expert education and training for water treatment plant and distribution system operators, wastewater treatment plant and collection system operators, and other professionals working within these fields.
This training is pre-approved by the State of Nevada for contact hours used toward the maintenance of Nevada State operator certifications.
Water and wastewater operations are becoming more complex every day. Technology and regulations change constantly. And of course, contact hours are required to maintain that state certification you worked so hard to get.
If you want to stay current with what’s new, want to get better acquainted with fundamentals, or need state-approved contact hours for certification, you’re in the right place.
This website will be your one stop to see what classes will be offered and register to attend. Watch this site for updates and new information. For more information, contact us today. Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or call (702)267-2575 and ask for a WWET Representative.
WWET manages the rosters for the WWET classes. To reserve a seat for a WWET class, you must email us and ask that a seat be reserved in your name. You no longer have to register for the class in the LVVWD Learning Management System. Your supervisor’s approval is still required in order for you to attend the class.
You will receive an email from WWET once you have a confirmed seat in the class. Do not go to the class unless you have a confirmed reservation from WWET.
A copy of your confirmation will also be sent to Employee Development at LVVWD, at which time your enrollment will be entered into the Learning Management System. After your supervisor has approved this registration, you will be sent a confirmation from the Learning Management System along with reminders a week prior to the class.
This is just a formality so that we have a record of the supervisor’s approval, you receive the reminders, and your attendance of the class is recorded. WWET is still the system of record.
